What Does Swelling And Redness On The Cheeks Indicate?
Hi I had cellulitis on my cheek it is still red although not as red as it was been on antibiotics for a month various ones which last lot I finished four days ago there is no swelling anymore two little spots keep appearing which doctor noticed last monday but didnt seem to be concerned about the area seems smaller now jackie
You had cellulitis on the cheeks, it got better with the medicines you had been prescribed. Presently, you are having swelling on the cheeks. It may be indicative that you should take a course of the medicine you have been prescribed. Get clinically examined by a GP to detect or rule out mumps, injury, tooth abscess, hypothyroidism, oral cancer, etc.
Get required blood tests, CT, MRI, or X-ray imaging tests to evaluate the extent of swelling and identify structural abnormalities. Get blood tests done to look for signs of an infection or thyroid problems, biopsy to check for cancerous cells in the mouth or throat. You will be accordingly treated. you can apply a cold compress to relieve swelling and pain, gently massage the cheeks to stimulate blood flow.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
