Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My inner ear has been swollen for months and is driving me nuts. I went to a ent and they checked my hearing and cleaned out the wax then told me nothing is wrong. My throat has been clogged also. What can I do at home right now to relieve my discomfort.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Your symptoms seem to be related to an inflammation of the ear. Some advice that I can give to you are: -Take anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen -Placing a warm, moist washcloth over the affected ear may lessen pain. -Use OTC ear drops of hydrogen peroxide into the affected ear. Let it sit for several minutes before letting it drain into a sink. Rinse your ear with distilled water. -If you don't get better, see your doctor for further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
