Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was just operated on for cauda equina syndrome, spondololesthesis L4-5 and severe spinal stenosis, neurogenic claudication L5. I have no L quad reflex and subsequent weakness of L hip knee and R mild foot drop. Prior to surgery the urologist felt urge incontinence was due to cauda equina.Prior to surgery there were times my fingers would tingle while voiding.
Where is the swelling? Since when are you suffering from swelling? When were you operated? Are you Diabetic?
Post compression recovery chances may depend on duration and severity of compression etcetera. Please consult your neuro physician so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
