What Does Swelling In The Legs After An Injury Indicate?

I injured my shin over 3 weeks ago, tripped, and fell hard onto a steel grate. I went to my doctor a week later because I wondered if I possibly chipped a bone or something, xray came back negative. my doctor said I had a hematoma and it could be a few weeks before the swelling went down. It travels down to my foot and is so swollen it s as if my ankle does not exhist. Well, it s been over two weeks since I saw the doctor and it is still swollen and extremely sore to the touch. For example, when I roll over at night in my sleep and put any pressure on it I wake up from the pain. What else could it be if it s not broken? And Is this normal? the injury occurred 23 days ago.

well hope to guide u in a better way
I guess you are not moving your leg in any direction that's why it's getting swollen.
so try to move it first while in lying position then in sitting n then try to walk too.
you will feel the difference and pain relief too.
you should also take Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for three days.it will also decrease your swelling and improve your condition.
