Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 11 year old son has a swollen testicle....he is very active in sports and just had hitting practice pitching and 2 basketball games. He I s in great shape and does tons of sit ups and push-ups pull-ups. Could all this activity cause a swollen testicle?
Too much exercise and exertion in a child can cause a scrotal hernia. This kind of hernia presents as painless scrotal swelling. So better to consult a doctor and get done a clinical examination of abdomen and scrotum. He will also need an ultrasound abdomen and scrotum to confirm hernia. If the hernia is there, then he will need surgical repair.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
