What Does Swelling In The Thighs And Calves Indicate?
At about age 68 my left leg began to slowly but visibly wither. The calf and thigh muscles are much smaller than those on the right leg. The left knee is puffy, and a bit enlarged. The knee feels as though it may give way, and I have much less strength in the left leg than the right leg. I was a sprinter on the college track team, and jogged from then until about age 70, when my left leg was too weak for jogging.

What Does Swelling In The Thighs And Calves Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. So far as symptoms narrated here, there sounds segmental and neuronal pathology supplying calf and thigh muscles responsible for the wasting. I would like to evaluate the condition with detailed neurological examination in my office for further guidelines. I would like to assist further at anytime. Regards.
