What Does Swollen Ankle After A Spider Bite Suggest?

my foot and ankle are red swollen and hot .i have r.a. and have been able to take meds for it cause ive had pnemonia and on antibotic. my ankle has been swollen for over 4 months .cant stand anything touching it , like sheets or blanket.dont no if i need to go to e.r. i had a spider bite on same leg but took all antibotics.thats been few months ago .it looks healed

Hi,

As your pneumonia treatment completed and now you feel better. as per my opinion ankle swelling has nothing to do with pneumonia.

The main reason for ankle swelling are smoking habit or after bite of the spider as it causes inflammation.

Chronic inflammation may cause further deterioration of ankle movement. so better to consult your physician because ankle swelling after completing treatment is a matter to consult.

To reduce swelling, take enough water and keep the leg elevated during the night.
