General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Bilateral swelling of the lower limbs may be related to : (1)venous disease (2)heart disease (3)liver (4)kidneys (5)low levels of protein

Blood tests would be necessary to determine if there are any issues with the kidneys, liver or protein levels.
Imaging would assess the heart and veins.

Her doctor would need these results to determine the cause of her symptoms.

I hope this helps
