What Does Temperature Of 95.1 Post Abdominal And Back Surgeries Suggest?

My son is home from hospital. He was in a bad car accident. He broke his back (L2) and tore his intestine. He had abdominal surgery and back surgery. He is on pain medicine. He feels like he has a fever. When I take his temperature it is 95.1. What should I do?

Hello,
Thanks for the concern. After such abdominal and back surgery, some patients got fever and pain. For that you have to take pain killers which will help your son in fever. But your son is already taking the medicine so there might be infection so consult your surgeon immediately and take his advice. This might help your son.
