What Does Tenderness Above Surgical Incisions Indicate?

I just had my appendix removed last Tuesday. My doctor have me Norco for pain and advised me to take acetaminophen if I didn t want to take the Norco. Wednesday thru Friday I took 4 Norco per 24 hours and 2 acetaminophen. Saturday I only took 4 acetaminophen in 24 hours. Yesterday and today I haven t taken anything. About 4 inches above my left incisions it is very tender. I am not sure if this is normal or caused by the meds.

hi
as per the complains it is quite normal for a pain like that post surgery. Please be assured that pain is not due to medication. Are you having any fever along with it?If not, please dont worry have a light diet with proper rest and it will be alright. However for prolonged symptoms we need an investigation and further consultation with the surgeon.
hope this helps.
