hi mam,i know how difficult it is to balance both home and work.your heal pain doesnt seem to be due to fibromyalgia.it appears more like a plantar fasciitis.it is usually diagnoses with medical history and examination and investigations are not necessary.still an x-ray can be taken to rule out any other bony pathology.most of the times only conservative treatment would relieve you from symptoms.i shall mention it below:
1)analgesics:NSAIDs(ibuprofen,aceclofenac).if any kidney issues, you can go for tramadol and acetaminophen combination twice daily for 5 days.
2)orthotics i.e; custom-fitted arch support foot wear that distributes body weight evenly is useful.
3)physical therapy:a physiotherapist can instruct a few simple exercises that stretch your plantar fascia, achilles tendon and strenghten your leg muscles to support ankle and heel in weight bearing.
4)hold a cloth covered ice piece over the area of pain for 15-20 min.you can also go for ice massage over the painful area for 5-10 min 4-5 times a day.this would surely relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
5)please do maintain a healthy weight.
also do not use worn out shoes.
if your symptoms persist even after the above measures for 10 days, you can have a consultation with an orthopedician.hope you get a good relief of symptoms.any other issues, kindly let me know.i'm always here to address your concerns.thank you.take care.bye.
