What Does Tenderness In The Lymph Node Under The Jaw Bone Indicate?
I don't have a sore throat. I don't have any sinus drainage or anything of that nature. However, my right gland that is just under the end of my jaw bone is very tender. When I swallow, it is painful in the side of my neck. The pain radiates to my right ear. My tonsils seem fine, nothing in my throats hurts. It seems to be worse when I wake up in the morning. It is like once I start drinking liquids during the day it eases off.

What Does Tenderness In The Lymph Node Under The Jaw Bone Indicate?
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. Swollen glands under the jaw bone can be either an infected or swollen lymph nodes or infection in submandibular salivary gland. So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency Room and get evaluated.. If there is Infection you can be advised a course of antibiotics like Augmentin and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. Along with it doing cool compresses over the swollen area can help in reducing inflammation and swelling.. Hope this helps.. Regards .
