My child aged 7 had recently a blood test. All blood cells count were within normal range. The platelets count was 313000/Cu mm, but as for morphology, the laboratory defined it as anisocytosis.
What this means ?
Another abnormality was the ESR: 35 mm for the 1st hour.
Your advise will be much appreciated.
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Anisocytosis means variations in size of your rbc. Means you may have some small and large rbcs and normal rbc. If all other parameters are fine then anisocytosis and mild raised esr doesn't need to concern. If you have any symptoms then consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
