What Does The CT Scan Of My Chest Indicate?

chest ct showsprogressive fibronodulr changes posterior aspect right pulmonary apex. I was a 30 year smoke and quir approx 6 weeks ago. I have had chonic bronchitis over the years with it being more and more frequent approx 5 month intervals so I just quit smoking figuring this is not worth it. What does the ct scan mean. I do have an appt with a lung specialist next week. I am very afraid

Hello,

Probably just chronic lung disease from smoking. The "progression" can mean many things, so in order to make a diagnosis, a lung specialist will probably do a bronchoscopy of your lungs and/or a biopsy of the nodule.
