chest ct showsprogressive fibronodulr changes posterior aspect right pulmonary apex. I was a 30 year smoke and quir approx 6 weeks ago. I have had chonic bronchitis over the years with it being more and more frequent approx 5 month intervals so I just quit smoking figuring this is not worth it. What does the ct scan mean. Probably just chronic lung disease from smoking. The "progression" can mean many things, so in order to make a diagnosis, a lung specialist will probably do a bronchoscopy of your lungs and/or a biopsy of the nodule.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
