What Does The CT Scan Result Indicate?

my patient's CT scan report shows these findings medium sized mass lesion in in the right upper lobe adjacent to the upper mediastinum with spiculated margins. possibility of neoplastic likely multiple nodular lesions in the bilateral lung parenchyma.Few prominent mediastinal lymphnodes. plz guide what does this mean. Is it indicating to lung cancer

I read your question and I understand your concern.

Unfortunately yes, that report is indicating lung cancer as the most probable cause. However before reaching to conclusions the patient should be examined by a specialist because at times data from history and physical exam might suggest other possible diagnoses with possibly similar changes on CT, like infections, inflammatory conditions etc. Imaging alone is never enough to make a diagnosis.
Also not all lung tumors are the same, other tests might be needed to specify it and have different management and prognosis according to the type.
