Can you help me understand my MRI of cervical spine? Reversal Normal Cervical Lordosis at c4/c5 Increased T2 and T1 signal is seen within the endplates adjacent to the C4/C5 disc level. C3/c4 Minimal broad based disc osteophyte and left uncovertebral joint hypertrophy. Central canal is mildly narrowed measuring 1 cm Moderate left formaminal stenosis c4/c5 Left paracentral disc bulge creating central canal stenosis and AP diameter of 8mm Moderate right assymmetric flattening the left spinal cord Moderate right formaminal stenosis due to uncovertebral joint facet arthropathy c5/c6Left paracentral disc bulge creating central canal stenosis with AP diameter of 67 mm Asymmetric flattening of the left lateral aspect the spinal cord. Moderate to severe left formaminal stenosisis present c6/c7 Mild left paracentral disc bulge There is mild central canal stenosis without mass effect on the spinal cord mild left formaminal stenosis Multilevel degenerative disc disease and cervical spondylosis There is a central canal stenosis and mass affect on the spinal cord at c4 c5 and c 5 c6 mild stenosis is also present at c3 c4 and c6 c7 I m 36 years old female, a month ago I had a TIA had carodic Doppler that showed less than 50 %plaquing in my carodic artery and a stenosis by velocity 50-75% with no plaquing visible. I had a ct scan which nothing was to show . Last Friday I had another possible TIA though nothing was shown on CT my blood pressure at admission was 160/100... I always have low blood pressure typically 95/45..... when discharged blood pressure was 100/40 Monday I had the above MRI done ...... What are my options here? Medication.... ( I DO NOT TAKE PAIN MEDS OR MUSCLE RELAXERS).... Surgery? How severe is this? Apparently I have 2 discs that are not effected? And how does this happen? I have had no trauma and am in good health up until the TIA a month ago
Without an exam, I can only give general information, and compression of the spine is a serious condition that can cause severe damage like severe even fatal paralysis. Evaluation by a neurosurgeon is generally done with spinal stenosis.
