What Does The MRI Report Suggest?

I had an MRi which, part stated mild to moderate small vessel ischemia. I am 70, 6 3 and weigh 190 pounds. My cholesterol is in the 120-130 range and my ldl is 60--65. There were no signs of acute ischemnia or any type of mass. Is the small vessel issue a concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Check your BP and diabetic profile. Also, get stress rest done. This would exclude possibility of ischemia due to vessel constriction or lipid deposits. This can cause coronary insufficiency which needs to be treated and managed with medicines and lifestyle changes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
