What Does The US During Pregnancy With No Heart Beat Detected Indicate?

my sis-in-law hd a hard time getting pregnant and now has a 2 months gestation period, through IVF; she had a u/s on 28 mar 11 stating no heart beat and crl around 17mm, on 31 mar another round of usg confirmed no hb. today ie 3 april, there s still no tracable heartbeat but crl is 18mm. and yes on 28 mar usg also said a decudial reaction. my sis-in -law is having no symptoms of fever or miscarriage. is the baby alive should she continue with her pregnancy?

On usg generally heartbeat detected around 6 week of gestation. At 8 week gestation heartbeat should be there. There is more chances of missed abortion. Still u can wait for one more week. Go for usg , if still no cardiac activity go for abortion.
