What Does The X Ray Result Indicate?

We have this X-ray result for my three year old grandson. What is the meaning of it.hazy densities in the inner lung zones with no hilar adenopathies, trachea is midline,cardiac silhouette not enlarged,no retrosternal or retro cardiac fullness , and hemi diaphragms costophrenic sulci and osseoys structures are unremarkable. Impression nonspecifc central pneumonia. Thanks so much.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Your report suggests hazy densities in the inner lung zones.It may be due to active infection like pneumonia,tuberculosis.
Empirically I suggest broad spectrum antibiotics to my patients in such condition.
In non resolving cases,it is important to rule out tuberculosis.
You also need routine hemogram,Mantoux test.
PCR for T.B can be done if needed.

Rest of the findings are within normal limit. Trachea is in midline.
Cardiac silhouette not enlarged.
Hemi diaphragms,both CP angles and osseous structures are normal.
Proper treatment depend upon findings.
