Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day Doc. Few days ago, i had abdomen USG. The USG result show that something in my uterus need attn: Fundus enlargement, with hypoechoic nodule, single 4.8 x 3.7 x 4.2cm, visible line. Endometrial line not thick. Adnexa bilateral Normal, no Cyst / solid nodule. Cavum Douglas Empty. May i know, is that mean that i have tumor? Regards
The features on ultrasound are most likely suggestive of uterine fibroid, which are small benign masses and may enlarge especially in pregnancy. Usually these go unnoticed if they are not causing any problem like pain or irregular/ heavy menstural bleeding. I would recommend that if you start experiencing any symptom please consult your local gynaecologist for a follow up ultrasound and treatment accordingly. Otherwise, for now there is no need to worry about it.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
