5 years ago my husband, age 43, shattered his aorta and had it replaced. Six months ago he was in the hospital for close to a week because of an infection on the aorta. Upon release he took antibiotics via a PIC line for 6 weeks. We just moved to another state and have not found a cardiologist. A few weeks he went to emergencey due to shortness of breath and no energy. This led to him having an echocardiogram. We just received the results: severly enlarged right ventricle cavity, moderate mitral regurgitation, mild aortic scelosis, small non moblile vegetation was visualized in non coronary cusp, mildly dialated LA, mildly decreased left ventricicular ejection fraction, moderately dialated left ventricle. Please advise. Thanks so much!!!
