General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It means there is no bacterial infection in eye fluid but it does not rule out viral infection, if there are symptoms suggestive of infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
