Dose it mean that my condition is about to cure.Dear doctor, I request you to answer in detail.
Thankyou for asking on Healthcaremagic. Hypothyroidism is associated with reduced metabolism and weight gain, intolerance to cold, lethargy, fatigue, loss of appetite, leg oedema, constipation etc. If you are unable to gain weight there's rarely any possibility of hypothyroidism. Thyroid disorders can worsen or reverse to the opposite like hypo can become hyper and vice versa with time. Regular testing with dose adjustment is the key. Yes hypothyroidism can affect fertility and optimum thyroid function is essential for fetal brain development even after conception. In case you have no family history of diabetes there's a rare chance you ll have it. When you get tested for thyroid do it fasting morning 8am. Tsh has diurnal variations. You can skip medication at the moment. But once you conceive or if you are unable to conceive then concentrate on getting your tsh in range with medications. Don't shun away allopathic in pregnancy. Reference ranges of tsh in pregnancy are different from normal population.
