Should I start the medicines?
Yes, based on these readings unfortunately you would be classified as diabetic. Diabetes can be managed with a change in diet, activity and medication. Diet changes would involve reducing the use of processed carbohydrates Eg: sodas, juices, pasta etc. Increased use of certain fruits and vegetables. At least 150 mins of exercise a week is recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
