What Does The Blood Test Report Indicate?

i recently took a blood test and it shows the protein, ua is supposed to be 0-9 mg/dl. My test results show mine is 100. What does this mean? Also, the hemoglobin, ur, ql s/b negative mg/dl. My results show mine to be LARGE. What to these mean, please? Thank you in advance Maggie

Hi,

The large about of protein in the blood is called proteinuria and this can indicate problems with the filtration barrier in the kidney, now without glucose in the urine, diabetes is not likely but a lot of kidney issue can do this, a urinary tract infection is one cause, certain auto-immune disorders like lupus and even recovering from a recent bacterial or viral infection are common causes here.

Post infectious causes can also explain the hemoglobin present here. If you are having back or abdominal pain a kidney stones needs considered as well. Probably with that much hemoglobin and protein present I do need to think about auto-immune disorders first!
