What Does The Brain Scan Report Of An 81-year-old Male Indicate?
My 81 year old dad has been told he is in the early stages of dementia and his recent CT head/brain scan report said: some atrophy present with prominence of the extra-axial csf spaces. What does this mean? Conclusion was no focal or acute findings, some atrophy noted and overall appearance of the brain is similar to 2013.
Welcome to HCM Generally old individual had generalised cerebral atrophy which is normal and age related but due to which if he is having any problem with day to day activities then you should consult neurologist for expert advise Thank you.
