Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed about two hours ago that I have a bruise on my eylid with no apparent trauma although I may have slightly poked myself with my eye glasses. There is no change in vision or pain, no blurriness or redness inside the eye. Should this be something to be concerned about?
Hey, thanks for writing. As the eyelid scalp and face has thinner layers of subcutaneous tissue so a small trauma can produce a bruise. If its not associated with any visual abnormalities or redness or discharge from eye than u need not to worry. Ice application will help definitely. If swelling increases or any visual difficulty arises than visit a doctor. Thanks Write back for follow up.
