Hi welcome to HCM.
The xray of your mother points to a pathology in the lower lung zones.Any lung disease can lead to enlargement of heart due to pressure overload.Absence of congestion implies the lack of accumulation of blood within the lungs which is an indication of left ventricular failure.I advice you to have a 2 dimensional echo to have a complete functional status of the heart.Antibiotics and oxygen therapy can help to improve the lung function.Consult your cardiologist for further help.
Thank you
