Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello Doctor, good day. May the blessings of the Lord be with you always. Just todat, i went to the dr. here in K.S.A. I have my chest x ray. And this is what chest x ray revealed. Accentuated both hilar and central lung markings with no definite opacity, Prominent aortic knuckle, with dilated unfolded aorta No hilar or mediastinal lympadenopathy Clear both costo - phrenic angles Normal cardiac size and configuration Intact body skeleton. I hope you will answer my question. May God bless you always.
these are not diagnostic findings, so I cannot tell you a diagnosis. In most of the cases the lung and hilar findings are not very important. It depends on the patient's history and complaints a lot though.
The prominent aortic knuckle (atherosclerosis) and dilated aorta (aneurysm?) could signify a serious problem though. A more detailed test (computed tomography) would be recommended to assess the diameter of the aorta. Since the radiologist did not make a very specific comment about that, is is likely nothing serious either.
I hope I've helped! Please understand that a single test (any test) without clinical information cannot be accurately interpreted. I'll be glad to provide more details if you'd like to inform me about your history and complaints.
Kind Regards!
