What Does The Decrease Of Follicle Size Indicate ?

I just had an iui done on day 11 of my cycle. I was on puregon 75 for this cycle. On day 9 my follicle sizes were 18, 18 and 14. On day 10 my follicle sizes were 20 and 17. I ovulated naturally on day 10 and had the iui done the next day. Does the decrease in follicle size indicate that only one egg was released?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Usually mature ovarian follicle will release the egg in one cycle.
And usually one egg will be released in one cycle.
Decrease in the size of the follicle and appearance of free fluid in pouch of douglas usually indicates ovulation.
As you underwent IUI within 24 hours of ovulation, the possibility of pregnancy is high if all other factors are normal.
Wait till your expected date of periods.
If you miss the periods go for pregnancy test after 4 to 5 days of missed periods.
Start taking folic acid supplementation from nowonwards.
