What Does The Faint Circle For HIV Test Mean?

hiv rapid testing results.

wife - negative, husband - very very faint circle.

We have sex everyday, some times twice a day. What are the chances of a positive hiv test result.

Should we not both have positive results? We have recently had unprotected sex with another couple.

You should both have an ELISA done. If positive, it should be confirmed by Western Blot. It is not unusual for couples to have discordant HIV test results (husband positive, wife negative/husband negative, wife positive). While awaiting your test results, I advise that you use condoms during sex. If one of you is positive continue using condoms while having sex with each other.

And always use condoms while having sex with an unknown partner.
