What Does The Following CT Scan Report Suggest?
The following came back on my test results from a CT with contrast. I am 64 year old man. In laymens terms, can you tell me what this means. : Hepatic steatosis. INCIDENTALLY IMAGED UPPER ABDOMEN: Hepatic steatosis. Incidental 8 mm lipid rich left adrenal adenoma. BONES: No destructive bone lesion. Overall mild degenerative changes in the thoracic spine. Schmorl s node in the T10 inferior endplate. Postsurgical changes in the lower cervical spine.

Hepatic steatosis refers to a collection of fat in the liver. This is also called fatty liver. It can go on to cause inflammation and damage to the liver if there is no diet or activity change.
The CT scan also noted an abnormal growth on the adrenal gland, which is a gland in the abdomen.
This is non cancerous/not cancerous according to the scan
There is arthritis noted in the spine in the thorax.
