Hi, I had a recent CT scan of the abdomen. The key findings are: - No abnormalities of the intra-abdominal organs are seen - Cannot exclude thickening of the wall of the gastric antrum near the pylorus, although this may be due to physiologic underdistention. Consider correlation with endoscopy. I have scheduled an endoscopy for end of August. I know what thickening of the gastric antrum means and I am worried. What is your advice ? Thank you
Let me assure you that no thing to be worried about at the moment. The thickening that you read about can just be a normal finding to you. In human body sometimes we can find something that is usually not normal but for that person its normal finding that was born with him. I have seen many similer cases. Don't worry for now and lets wait for the endoscopy results.
Regards
