General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have read your query in detail long standing diarrhea with enlarged lymph nodes all over abdomen points towards generalized lymphadenopathy.

A condition in which more than 4 lymph nodes are enlarged in body causes:

Infection: Most common causes are tuberculosis and other bacterial and fungal infection such as HIV, lymphoma and malignancy.

Now to rule out all these possibilities:

Get a chest X-ray with sputum testing done, sputum microscopy fab and culture CD4 counts and HIV testing, if weight loss with loss of appetite is too present, malignancy is to rule out too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ankit Chauhan
