What Does The Following CT Scan Report Suggest?

Hi, I went to ER for some other reason and CT scan was taken at that time. There was an incidental finding on CT scan which shows 1.9cms liver lesion on my right lobe of the liver. I went to gastroenterlogist and he did my blood work for tumor markers(blood work came out fine) and suggested dedicated MRI for liver which I went for it. Whats suprising for me is MRI did not show any lesion on my liver, but the doctor informed me and later told after 6 months I should go for CT scan again. Iam not sure which scan is better or worse interms of liver lesion, can you clear my confusion why the doctor wanted to go for CT scan again? What kind of lesions show up on MRI versus CT scan?

There are many different types of lesions in the liver and they have characteristic findings on CT and MRI scan. Probably a contrast scan would help in case the lesion was not visualized on the plain MRI scan.
