What Does The Following CT Scan Result Indicate?

CT Scan results: Lobulation of the upper and lower pole of the left kidney. Focal parenchymal thinning is noted of the left kidney - suggests chronic postinflammatory atrophy.

do I need to see a specialist or is this something I do not need to concern myself with?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is loss in the normal contour of the kidney out line.
2.The possibilities of this could be due to the previously healed infection or any intervention.
3.At the same time there is localised parenchyma thinning seen considered as atrophic area.
4.In this case i would recommend to get a kidney function test KFT test done and see the parameters if there are any changes an at the same time the kidney function.
5.You can visit nephrologist with the KFT, test results - if required IVP for kidney function.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
