Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

The heart is deformed with a normal ejection fraction. This occurs with stress on the heart such as lung disease, and especially with hypertension. Stopping cigarettes, maybe using oxygen, certainly controlling blood pressure and watching out for heart disease risks will actually move things gradually back to more normal but things are not direly bad.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
