General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Ig m suggests acute T.B your son should undergo the treatment protocol of 6 months.these drugs are prescription based.doses are calculated as per his weight.and yes he is suffering from T.B you should know he can spread the infection.we have do a sputum test and also an x ray of chest to know the status of the disease.
now a days this disease is curable completely you just have you follow a proper treatment. if you are in another country and if you have health insurance coverage we can treat him anywhere.
the list of drugs treated here are isoniazid , rifampicin , ethambutol ,sterptomycin and pyrizinamide these drugs doses are adjusted as per his weight and given its a who protocol medicines are avaliable every where
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.sameena
