Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, this is patient age of 64 yr. He has done FNAC on 18 Apr 2017. Now report came and there is written by expert in report: CT guided FNA smears from lung are paucicellular and show occasional scattered clusters of atypical cells with hyperchromatic nuclei in a necro- inflamamtory background along with alveolar macrophages. Features are suggestive of carcinoma
Based on the history you have shared, it shows the presence of cancerous cells so excision biopsy or CT scan chest and bone or PET scan for any signs of spread should be ruled out. The patient may need surgical removal along with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
