No obvious pericardial collection seen Chest wall structures unremarkable Opinion: Few fibrotic infiltrates are seen in bilateral upper lobes in apical segments s/o sequelae of oldinfection may i request you what these findings suggest ?
You may have bilateral apical fibrotic infiltration means normal ling tissue replaced by fibrous tissue. Causes are:
1. Pulmonary tuberculosis
2. Pulmonary sarcoidosis
3. Langerhans cell histiocytosis
4. Histoplasmosis
5. Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis
6. Pleural thickening, etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician/pulmonologist they may correlate clinically with investigation then treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
