What Does The Following HSG Report Suggest?

I did an HSG yesterday and this is what the result say. The uterine cavity and endocervical canal appear normal in outline. Only the proximal portions of both fallopian tubes were visualised during the study and the left tube appears dilated distally. No peritoneal spill of contrast is identified .Approximate tubal length on the right=2.4cm and on the left=4.3cm. My question is do I have any chance of become pregnant without IVF.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following interpretations can be done based on the HSG report you have furnished.
1. Uterine cavity and endocervical canal is normal in outline. Hence there is no mass or growth in the uterine cavity.
2. Only proximal portions of Fallopian tubes were visualised. It means that there is a block somewhere midway of Fallopian tubes.
3. Left Fallopian tube appears dilated distally. It means that the normal architecture has been lost, which makes entry of egg into the Fallopian tube more difficult.
4. No peritoneal spill of contrast has been identified. This means that the tubes are blocked completely.
5. Tube length on the right is 2.4 cm and left is 2.4 cm, which makes left tube to be longer than right tube.
Hence, with the above observations, it is practically not possible for you to conceive without assisted reproductive techniques like invitro-fertilization (IVF).
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
