General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the report you have furnished, the following interpretation can be done.

1. Serum bilirubin - total, direct and indirect are within normal limits.
2. SGPT (ALT) level is showing a 2 fold increase.
3. SGOT (AST) is also showing mild elevation.
4. GGT level is normal.

Since you are HCV infected, it appears that there is a mild liver cell dysfunction present, which is causing alterations in enzyme levels.

Other symptoms also could be associated with an underlying infection caused by Hepatitis C virus.

You might require an ultrasound scan of the abdomen to know the anatomical status of your liver.

Kindly consult Physician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
