What Does The Following MRI Of The Prostate Indicate?
The following are the test results from a MRI of the prostate. What does it all mean? Prostate size: 6.9 x 5.6 x 5.7 cm for a volume of 110 cc ml. There is a possible central TURP defect. The peripheral zone and transitional zone are markedly hypointense on ADC and markedly hyperintense on DWI. The base of the seminal vesicles are abnormal worrisome for invasion. The median lobe projects into the bladder and the base bladder wall is not well circumscribed. The capsule is ill defined and the neurovascular bundles are not seen discretely. The peripheral zone and transition zone are heterogeneously decreased in signal intensity on T2. Enhancement is robust. Overall suspicion is 5/5. There are many abnormal enlarged periprostatic lymph nodes. There are shotty groin lymph nodes. There is no abnormal osseous enhancing metastases. There is no ascites. Incidental note is made of a 1.1 cm left seminal vesicle cyst. IMPRESSION - Prostate gland is enlarged with features consistent with diffuse neoplasm with local regional spread disease.
