At c4/5 broad based posterior disc osteophyte complex with a more focal central protrusion, which completely effaces the anterior CSF space and slightly flattens/indents the ventral aspect of the cord . What does this indicate. i have pain in neck and under right shoulder in back.
1.The report suggest at the level of the C4-5 there are osteophytes - whic are degenerative spine changes seen in the age related or excessive work related stress to the spine. 2.The disc which is between the vertebrae due to the degenerative changes looses the hydration. 3.Due to which the disc is seen bulged out and causing pressure effect on the thecal sac. 4. Possibly there might me the pressure effect on the nerve root which exits - which generally causes the symptoms mentioned by you. 5.Treatment in this case includes back exercises, if there no relief then the treatment includes physiotherapy.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
