My husband 73 years old had the vaxigrid flu vaccine and 3 days later he had a severe case of pneumonia where he was taken hospital together with that he was experiencing fits of unawareness and had no control on the urine and stool, his MIR reads the following:Bilateral cerebral white matter small patchy areas and multiple foci of abnormal high signal intensity in T2W and flair images are noted; being subcortial and deep periventricular in location. They are inconspicuous in T1WI and exert no significant mass effect on the surrounding structures. Prominent ventricular system and extra-axial CSF spaces namely basal cisterns, cerebellar folia, sylvian fissures and cortical sulci. No shift of the midline structures.Normal appearance of the cerebellum and brain stem.No extra-axial collections.
1.The report suggest there are multiple hyper intense foci noted in the periventricular locations T2 and flair hyper intense. 2.This findings are seen in the small vessel ischemic changes / old infarcts which are normally seen as a age related changes. 3.The prominent ventricular system and CSF spaces are seen as an age related changes. 4.In this case there is no active intervention needed, need further monitoring if symptomatic. 5.There are no midline shift, any abnormal pathologies noted in the brain study.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
