Hi I had mri showing c3 c4 dspindylitic ridging resulting in mild ventral cord flattening. Left uncovertebral spurring resulting in moderate to marked left foraminal stenosis. C4 c5 spondylitic ridging resulting in egfacement of anterior subarachnoid space and mild ventral cord flattening. Bilateral uncovertebral spurring resulting in moderate to marked left and mild to moderate right foraminal stenosis. C5 c6 is the same as above but states likely impinging on right c6 nerve root. C6 c7 same as above but probably impinging on right c7 nerve root.Multi level degenerative changes in cervical spine there is moderate to marked foraminal stenosis at multiple levels. There has been interval progression since my prior mri in 2003. Which was 13 yrs ago. My questions are....am I in serious trouble ...what does the future look like for me...right now I have neck and shoulder pain I am at only 50 % in rotating my neck. Also I was assaulted by someone 2 yrs ago and suffered trauma to my neck could that have triggered this condition to worsen? Thank ypu
As per my surgical experience, the issue of foramen narrowing at spinal changes with osteoarthritis most likely, past trauma may be in inciting event in addition to age related issues.
* A detailed orthopedic and neurology evaluation is mandatory in this instance for further guidelines. It must be corrected at proper time being to avoid future complications of loss of reflexes and other abilities involving upper and lower limbs as well.
Should discuss the scope of corrective surgery with your neurosurgeon during next scheduled follow up.
