What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?
my sister is 33 years of age met with an RTA and MRI shows minimal knee joint effusion .mild inhomogeneous PDFS HYPERINTENSITY is noted in the body and posterior horn of medial meniscus possibly due tomyxoid generation /contusion. -mild fluid is noted near the femoral attachment of the medial gastrocnemius tendon,possibly secondary to sprain. -patella is tilted laterally with mild sublaxation .mild subchondrial sclerosis is noted along the lateral facet of patella. pls suggest the treatment. thanks

The MRI shows mild joint effusion in knee joint probably due to degeneration off the cartilages and meniscus around knee joint. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and correction of subluxation of patella. The subchondrial sclerosis in lateral facet of patella is likely to be degenerative.
