My father two previous CVA in september 2015 and January 2016, fortunately he recovered from them without a stroke. Today, we took an MRI of my father s brain. The MRI report has the following conclusion: Chronic focal/lacunar infarcts in the cerebral deep grey, white matter bilaterally, please let me know what does it mean? very anxious to know about it.
Hello. Lacunar infarcts are small areas of brain cell death that are often seen in people over the age of 50. The aren't strokes per se and they usually don't cause any stroke-like symptoms. Some patients with them may be placed on a blood thinner called Plavix
