What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Good Afternoon, I had an MRI of the thoracic spine and the report states the following... Increased T2 signal with linear septations is partially seen lateral to the left T9-10 disc and 10th rib. This finding is only partially seen. This finding measures 2 x 2cm in AP x transverse dimension. CT of the chest without and with IV contrast is recommended. What does this mean?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The MRI report shows the presence of a lesion close to the thoracic spine.
The lesion can be better visualized on CT scan.
Thus, a CT scan is suggested.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
