Hi, I just reviewed my MRI results taken on my lower back. The comments read Small new right-sided disc L4-L5 compressing the right traversing L5 root. Clinical correlation would be recommended as root compressions on imaging can be silent. What does all this mean?
radiologically there is compression of the nerve root. which we call it as radiculopathy.. due to the nerve compression patient may complain of this severe pain in the legs , pain during movements of legs , sensory disturbances.
but many patients will not have symptoms or complaints with findings in nei
so there are asking to corelate clinically
if cliNically symptoms are significant
some people may need to undergo surgery
